Balance

Balance in design refers to the distribution of visual weight in a composition. It aims to achieve stability and harmony among the elements. There are three main types of balance: symmetrical, asymmetrical, and radial. Symmetrical balance involves mirroring elements around a central axis, creating a sense of equilibrium. Asymmetrical balance, on the other hand, achieves balance through contrast and variation in visual elements. Radial balance radiates from a central point outward, often seen in circular designs. Balance plays a crucial role in guiding the viewer’s eye and creating a cohesive and pleasing visual experience in design.
